Grange Park Area Information
Grange Park shares a postcode with Winchmore Hill and is to the north of that area, encompassed in the triangle formed by Green Dragon Lane, Old Park Ridings and Enfield Golf Course. Although geographically removed from the main area, Park Drive and Grange Park Avenue are often thought of as being part of Grange Park.
Grange Park consists mainly of detached and semi-detached houses and bungalows built in the 1930s. The only flats in the area are on the roads off The Grangeway such as the 1960 purpose built blocks on Merridene or the modern apartments on Brook Park Close.
There is a strong sense of community within the area with several long running neighbourhood watch schemes and a strong resident’s association.
The area is within close proximity of a good selection of quality schools, particularly primary, that rate well above average in the performance tables. Grange Park Primary School has a particularly good reputation.
Although there are no parks within Grange Park itself Grovelands Park, in Winchmore Hill and Oakwood Park are within walking distance. Both parks have expansive grounds, picturesque lakes and lots of facilities for children.
Grange Park has its own mainline station with services to Moorgate (& Kings Cross at week-ends). The nearest tube is Southgate (Piccadilly Line).
