If you are selling or letting a property it is essential that it is easily found by internet users. There are many national portals which list properties from several agents in a particular area. The two that provide us with the greatest number of buyers are www.findaproperty.co.uk and www.rightmove.co.uk and we have listed our properties on both of these for some time. Experienced buyers and tenants like these sites as they bring the majority of the properties in their desired area together on one site.
The less experienced property hunter is likely to use a search engine, such as Google, to search for what they want and this is where an agent’s own website is an important resource. Unless it is appearing in those search results your property will not get the desired exposure.
Research shows that people type longer key phrases in to the Google search box than in the past. In other words, users are becoming more specific about searching. So they will be typing phrases such as “Property for sale Winchmore Hill” or “Estate agents Winchmore Hill” and if they do not find your agent’s site they may not find your property. Searchers rarely go past the first page of results.
At Peter Barry we are very proud of our web site. With virtual tours, floor plans, maps and many more features it provides all the information a potential buyer could need. We pursue a multi platform approach to the internet so that which ever way people are searching they will quickly find your property.
