Moving Stories
We had a fantastic response to our short story competition, there were in excess of 200 submissions, so it took a little bit longer than expected to read them all.
However, they have now been narrowed down to a shortlist of twelve which have all been posted to our blog. There are links to each of the stories below.
A Constant Heart by Julie Whittingham
A Place in the Sun by Alyson Hilbourne
A Room for Freya by Rebecca Burns
Behind the Flock by Kathryn Freemen
Driven by Paul Weidknecht *WINNER*
Good Intentions by Pat Ashford
Goodbye by Laura Huntley
Lifelines by Jackie Taylor *RUNNER UP*
Martin’s Holly by Tony Black
Neighbourhood Watch 1998 by Paul Warnes
Paper Castle by Rosemary Hayes
Time to Move On by Tess Niland Kimber *RUNNER UP*
Our Judge, Anne Aylor, is now reviewing the shortlist and we should be ready to announce the winner during week commencing 6th February.
In the meantime I have listed some of the statistics from the competion in this post - by the numbers. It was a fascinating mix.
