Building Project Consultancy

Our Project Management team provide bespoke professional services in assisting our clients to manage the process of assessing and specifying planned works for a variety of types of building. This service aims to accurately define the nature, scope and materials for works, to give our clients the confidence to procure projects with the peace of mind that the issues have been professionally assessed and addressed to meet the desired end result.

Our team specialise in the following types of project:

  • Major works to residential and mixed use blocks.
  • Fire, water, storm and impact damage reinstatement.

Every job is different, but a successful project starts with spending time with the client and their building, to explore the aims and feasibility of their brief. Through a close and individual client relationship, this enables a greater understanding of the works and the formulation of an approach best suited to enable the project to reach the desired conclusion.

Along the way this can involve the following:

  • Assessment and preparation of a report to identify the condition, defects, damage and/or improvements to be addressed, together with consideration of the various options.
  • Advice on any planning or Building Control issues.
  • Reviewing, advising upon and processing other statutory obligations, such as party wall legislation, HMO registration, health and safety obligations etc.
  • Engagement and liaison with specialist consultants such as structural or services engineers.
  • Preparation of detailed specifications, schedules of work and other documentation.

Our service can extend to cover tendering, contract preparation and administration of works once on site, for select projects that are of a sufficient order of magnitude to justify the cost of that professional input.

However, the service is primarily for owners or management companies for which the value is in a simple yet professional combination of technical knowledge and experience to clearly define the scope of work to suit their requirements and from which they can procure and manage the project themselves.
