Mr Steve Hobbs carried out the survey for my flat and also to put on the report how much the lease extension should cost. The Landlord however was very unreasonable and wanted nearly £10k more than what Mr Hobbs had stated and so Mr Hobbs went ahead with the negotiation and managed to get the premium down to nearly £10k less than what the unruly landlord wanted. As first-time buyers the entire buying process can be quite overwhelming but having a survey that you can trust is essential. Recent Activity in Tooting SW17

We were contacted by an adjoining owner in the Tooting area, who had received section 2 & 6 party wall notices from their neighbour who wanted to construct a rear extension. The matter was allocated to our senior surveyor Shaun Blake with his assistant David Brazier dealing with day-to-day matters.

The construction of the rear extension was relatively straightforward, however, the adjoining owner was not in the country which made it was difficult to communicate with them and explain the process. Nevertheless, David adapted to the situation and decided that WhatsApp was the best method of contact as they needed to arrange access to the property.

The adjoining owner put us in contact with the tenants so we could arrange access to carry out the schedule of condition before work started on the rear extension. Although the owner was overseas, David regularly updated them on how matters were progressing and quickly addressed any concerns they might have including in respect of their tenants who all worked from home.
