We were contacted by an adjoining owner in the Tooting area, who had received section 2 & 6 party wall notices from their neighbour who wanted to construct a rear extension. The matter was allocated to our senior surveyor Shaun Blake with his assistant David Brazier dealing with day-to-day matters.
The construction of the rear extension was relatively straightforward, however, the adjoining owner was not in the country which made it was difficult to communicate with them and explain the process. Nevertheless, David adapted to the situation and decided that WhatsApp was the best method of contact as they needed to arrange access to the property.
The adjoining owner put us in contact with the tenants so we could arrange access to carry out the schedule of condition before work started on the rear extension.
