About Upton Park
Upton Park is in the London Borough of London Borough of Newham and its neighbours are Barking to the east and Plaistow to the west.
Upton Park is an area that borders the park of the same name. It is a built up residential area with a bustling shopping area on Green Street, providing a good selection of both independent and high street names. There is a large market that offers a good selection of Asian produce and goods, as well. The area is probably best known as being the former home of West Ham United Football Club (they have now moved to the London Stadium within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in E20).
Upton Park doesn’t have its own overground station but it is on the underground system. Upton Park station is in zone 3 and is on the Hammersmith & City and District lines, which run into the City and central London.
