Recent Activity in Battersea SW11

An unusual instruction was recently received involving a commercial property in Battersea Park Road SW11. The properties concerned were part of a terrace of Victorian Houses that had been converted in the past to commercial use on the ground floor with residential accommodation above.

The building owner was carrying out significant conversion and refurbishment works to the residential parts of their property involving installing new steel beams into the party wall, removing and changing internal walls and converting the loft space for residential use.

The job was allocated to William Weaver who has many years of experience in commercial property.  The schedule of condition had to be carried out at specific times to avoid disrupting business. The commercial fit out further complicated matters, but nothing that couldn’t be dealt with.

The party wall process proceeded smoothly, the awards were prepared and served on both parties without a hitch and the works commenced without delay.
