Our assistant surveyor David Brazier is currently running day to day matters on a party wall file relating to a property located close to Stamford Brook tube station to the west of Hammersmith. The building owner applied for planning permission for a single-storey rear extension to their semi-detached Edwardian home.
We are acting for the adjoining owners who each own a share in the freehold of the adjoining property which is split into three flats across its three floors. Schedules of condition have already been prepared to ensure that, should damage be reported, we can easily confirm whether or not it was present prior to the work covered by the Part Wall Act commencing.
David will now move on to assisting the appointed surveyor with agreeing the awards so the work can proceed. When the works are complete we’ll return for a final inspection during which we’ll check through the schedule of condition to confirm whether there have been an changes
