Property Surveys and Party Wall Advice in Wimbledon

To the west of Wimbledon town centre, a pleasantly kept tree lined street of residential Edwardian houses subject to numerous extension and alteration works within the last few years saw another project undertaken towards the end of 2022.  The owner who engaged our services intended to undertake a full scheme of renovation works to meet their growing family’s needs. Works included a rear extension and a loft conversion.

Although the building owner was aware of their obligations under the Party Wall Act, they had left the process until the last minute, commissioning us to serve notice just three weeks prior to the intended start date.

To negate the need for the project to be delayed, one of our surveyors, Matthew Price, prepared and served notices on the affected adjoining owners and, when they responded, concurring in his appointment as the agreed surveyor, undertook a schedule of condition and served party wall awards in time for the building owner’s works to proceed.

The building owner was thankful for our speedy and diligent service “under huge time pressure”.
