Recent Activity in Balham SW12

We were commissioned to undertake a pre-purchase Level 2 RICS Home Survey of a two-bedroom ground floor flat located on one of the tunings off Chestnut Grove in Balham. A level 2 survey is equivalent to the old RICS Homebuyer Report and is designed to highlight any urgent or costly issues. The survey was undertaken by our senior surveyor Shaun Blake.

The flat was converted from a turn of the century mid terraced house. The conversion involved the addition of basement accommodation, together with extensions and alterations to the rear and to the upper flat. Issues identified included Improvements required to the fire detection system, an issue with the safety of the staircase safety and unevenness to the basement floor.

The client was pleased with the service, posting a 5-star review and commenting ‘Very good service – prompt replies and communicative throughout. Even when there was an issue gaining access to the property for the survey, they were very accommodating and made no issue about rearranging – would recommend!’
