Mohamed Al-Fayed, previous owner of Harrods department store and Fulham Football Club, lived and is now laid to rest alongside his son Dodi in Oxted. Sir Kier Starmer was born in Southwark, London but spent his childhood in Oxted attending the nearby Reigate Grammar School.
