Generally more affordable than the neighbouring areas of Southgate and Winchmore Hill, but with many similar attributes, Palmers Green is popular with first time buyers.
Palmers Green is notable for its high level of private rented accommodation.
On the west side of Palmers Green is the sought after Lakes Estate with its large selection of Edwardian properties (many now converted).
In the centre of Palmers Green is the spacious Broomfield Park which has a range of facilities for families, including a Victorian conservatory complete with waterfall, situated around its four lakes. At the heart of the park is Broomfield house, once used by James I as a hunting lodge but now lying empty after a series of fires.
There is a Farmers’ Market in the train station car park every Sunday morning which is run by a group of stallholders selling predominantly fresh locally grown food
Palmers Green mainline station is situated on Aldermans Hill with services to Moorgate (& Kings Cross at week-ends). The nearest tube is Southgate (Piccadilly Line).
