Over the last couple of years we’ve put on a series of lunchtime CPD sessions covering party wall procedures for Architects, engineers, housing associations and local authorities. We’re now accepting requests to book sessions over the next few months.
Originally the sessions were held at the organisations’ offices but over the last year, like all meetings, they’ve moved to a virtual platform. It’s not quite the same as being face to face but we’re still managing to make the experience as interactive as possible by encouraging attendees to raise party wall related issues that they’ve experienced on past or current jobs. Hopefully it won’t be too long now until we can do the sessions face to face again.
A typical 50-minute session covers the following topics:
Sessions are hosted by one of our Directors who are all very experienced party wall surveyors.
If having a better understanding of procedures under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 would be beneficial in your day to day work and in discussions with clients you’ll want to take advantage of this offer.
If you are a RIBA Chartered Member the session will count towards your annual CPD obligations by providing a ‘general awareness’ of party wall procedures (2 points).
You don’t have to have a boardroom or overhead projectors; just a space to sit in and an audience that are willing to learn. If you’re interested in arranging a session please contact Susan Bradford on 020 7183 2578 or by email at susan.bradford@peterbarry.co.uk.
